We don't always want to admit what is right in front of our faces. This if often the case when it comes to relationships. If you feel that things have shifted in your marriage, it's often a hard pill to swallow. It's easy to put on blinders and ignore the obvious. Ignoring the problems won't make them go away though. If you have begun to wonder whether your relationship is hitting a low spot, there are telltale signs that your marriage is failing that you need to be aware of. One of the most obvious signs that your marriage is failing is that you and your spouse avoid time alone. It's incredibly easy to hide behind your roles as parents and to use that as an excuse for avoiding couple time. Regardless of how busy your lives become you still need to focus on each other. If you find that you hang around work longer than you need to because you don't want to see your spouse, or if he or she is doing the same, that's a sign that your marriage is headed directly towards a divorce. Misunderstandings are a part of life. They happen even in the best and most stable of relationships. However, if you and your spouse seem to constantly be on opposite sides of virtually every issue that's one of the signs that your marriage is failing . Constant conflict is not healthy for either of you. If your children are witness to you and your spouse bickering that creates undue tension and stress for them. Prolonged arguing is a sure sign that your marriage is hanging by a very thin thread.
