Wouldn't it be great if you could fall in love, have a great time and when it was over you would both agree and move on? But, unfortunately a breakup seldom happens that way. There is usually one of the partners left behind and wanting things back the way they were. In this case it is you and you never knew it could hurt so bad. Your boyfriend said he needed a break and you feel he is gone for good. You are not sure what he means by needing a break, but you know it cannot be good. Your girlfriends say that he is falling too deeply in love with you and is scared. I would not be too sure of that.

When your boyfriend wants a break, it is usually a way to put you on hold. This allows him to go out and check things out, do some dating and if things do not work out, he will have you waiting to take him back. This makes a nice life for him and a miserable one for you. This cannot be allowed to happen. You cannot just withdraw from the world and sit by your phone, hoping he will call. One of the best ways to get your ex boyfriend back is to do what he is doing. Go out and have fun, date some other guys and check things out for yourself. This is not what he expected you to do and when your ex hears about what you are doing, he will go crazy .

Although he may be dating someone else, your ex boyfriend will not be able to stand the thought of you dating. He will probably call you, but do not mention his girlfriend unless he does. Treat him the same way you would any other friend, but cut the call short by telling him you were just going out the door. If he asks where you are going, tell him you are meeting a friend and end the conversation. By doing this, he will feel that you are slipping away from him and he does not want that to happen. To get your ex back, you need to keep him unsure of you.

Do not make the mistake of always being available to him. Do not take all of his calls. Let him leave messages and be slow to call him back. If he calls you and wants to talk about his latest girlfriends faults, do not side with him. Just tell him you are sure everything will work out and change the subject. Never let him think that you want him back, if you do, he will make you wait forever. Show him that you can have a good life without him and he will find that he needs you more than he needs a break .
