The law of abundance is the belief that you have to share the abundance given to you by the universe if you expect to receive more. Putting happiness and prosperity back into your surroundings and acquaintances is the basis to many other beliefs, including karma.
Karma states that whatever you do in life is weighed for or against you is used to determine your blessings and curses in your next life. Bad behavior promotes bad tidings and nice behavior promotes nice tidings, and so on and so on. The balance in the cosmos is the main idea behind many religions and more than twice as many culture traditions.
Wiccans for instance believe in harming none and the rule of three which warns that whatever bad you do to someone else will return to you three times as bad. Christians always speak of the adage of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.
And humanitarians participate in the practice of paying it forward where whatever good comes your way, you must then turn that good to someone else so that they can turn it to someone else and on and on. The law isn't fallowed by all but it's certainly understood deep down. The universe is made up of balance and its law is what calls forth chaos.
Every action must have an equal and opposite reaction, things that go up must eventually come back down again, and whatever is good in life must eventually come to an end. One extreme must be tempered by it's opposite to keep things running smoothly.
When the opposite isn't doing its part it messes up everything in a domino effect that's unstoppable. With that in mind it's important to remember that if you're searching for the providence that the law of abundance offers then you must be willing to then turn that providence on to other people.
