The planet we live on is a feeling planet and emotions play a big part of peoples lives. Therefore it becomes a natural thing to want to share our feelings with a partner. The partnership between a man and a woman is as important today as it ever was and many people still chooses to get married.

So why do so many couples divorce? It has become so easy to get a divorce. In most relationship there will be crises, and is it that the younger generation today have a much better chance to stand on their own two feet and opt out when the going get tough? Did people in the past have more stamina to stick out the hard times and work through it together as a couple?

If a young couple get together the aspect of growing up together may seem romantic and work in some cases. But there is a difference in the demands of younger women than that of an older woman in a relationship. Many young women have not yet found their own unique individuality and may relay heavily on their partner for support. They tend to be very sensitive and the thought of falling in love and the excitement of romance places them in a state of a fantasy world.

The older women have usually been through a few experiences in her life and are probably more in balanced with in herself and have developed her own unique individuality. She is probably able to provide and look after herself and may not make so much demand on her partner other than for the love and companionship.

In the past you got marriage and wanted to create a home and family together and in many cases this is still the case. But back then the women was usually dependent on the husband for financial support while they took care of the children.

The marriages of today is based on close intimacy, love and romance and if any of these things dies then it seems very easy for the couple to walk away from the marriage. Is it the lack of commitment or is it the change of an era where marriage is viewed differently?
