In the society full of critiques, more individuals are getting vain. Physical attributes are highly being regarded. Height, for instance, is being given too much attention. Series of scientific researches and many herbal products, drugs, exercises, and programs are being developed and endorsed to reach or just extend a bit to the maximum height.

Genetics play a big factor in this topic; however, the years of living and the way of living are also few of the components that affect height. People tend to ask the secret of being tall. The shorter than the average are the most inquisitive. Sometimes we hear the phrase, “height is might.” Advertisements that boost growth in a person usually use this to capture the attention and dedication of the people interested to grow taller.

What is really the secret to become taller? Why was it aforementioned that genetics and lifestyle truly affect the person’s growing?

The secret of being tall is having a healthy diet, proper exercises, enough sleep at the right time, and meditation. These are the natural ways. There are many drugs one can take to induce the growth hormones. They are the protein containing drugs which include tablets, capsules, syrups, and even injections. The effect of this replacement therapy is anabolic in nature and does not only affect the height of a person rather the weight and muscle mass. But these are the delicate and risky ways of being tall. There are some over-the-counter drugs available but it is still reliable to see a physician because of the side effects in self medication. Usually taking these unnatural ways will hinder the natural progression of one’s growth hormones after the course or stopping the medication. This is more apparent in using injections.

Scientifically speaking, genetics preprogram every individual to reach a certain height. However, in the course of living, there are times that this program is being defied. Every person experiences disease or illness in life. These shortcomings that interfere in the development of epiphyseal plate, the cartilage present in a growing bone, can lead to growth deviation or even worst, growth disorders. Also, the unhealthy lifestyle and the use of detrimental to health products greatly affect the growth of a person. In here enters the modification needed to mend the damages.

The usual age of a man to stop growing is approximately 25 and 21 for a woman. But these figures can actually be modified. One can grow 2-4 inches taller or more if persisted.
