If you smoke you already know that you must stop smoking. The evidence is simply overpowering concerning the trauma that persisting on smoking can do to you. With that in mind here you can find the main three reasons to stop smoking.

Reason One - Statistically people who don't smoke live longer
Reason Two - Statistically the families of people who don’t smoke also live longer
Reason Three - Your home will no longer stink of tobacco smoke

If those few reasons appear redundant to you, well so be it. The listing may be virtually without end but what is the most important to you? A cigarette? Or the wellbeing of both yourself and the individuals that you hold dear?

Grab a coffee and take a moment to think about it.

Of course you will already be aware of the  risks to you health of smoking tobacco products and you'll acknowledge the health jeopardies of those subjected to tobacco smoke around you because doctors and researchers  have been hollering about them for a long time. Every day increasing numbers of scientific studies are circulated focusing on the dangers and risks related to smoking.

An additional argument for quitting that I'm almost certain you will have already uncovered, especially as a result of the current global credit crunch is the sheer expense of smoking. The expense not just with regard to the money that is coming out of your wallet, but likewise the cost to our society as a whole. It has of course been stated over and over again how much smoking places a burden on the health service as medical professionals battle to combat the smoking related diseases that need (often expensive)  treatment.

Have you ever even stopped and thought about what you could use the extra money for if you did manage to quit?  Possibly a pleasant holiday, something for your children, or a surprise present for your spouse. I believe they might just value those kinds of gestures!

But most importantly, as expressed to begin with, the main reason you should quit is that you will extend your lifespan. If that is not a big enough reason to motivate you to stop smoking then quite frankly, naught will.


It's time to face up to the facts - you must quit smoking.  Not exclusively for yourself but also for those whom you love. Conceded, it is not going to prove easy. In point of fact, it's been authenticated that smoking is one of the most difficult addictions to break. But likewise keep in mind that there are a great number of proven systems that have been demonstrated to assist you to quit. It is vital that you take advantage of everything available to you.


Focus your mind on how you will feel once you finally become smoke free. Your meals will have more flavors. Your breathing will become better and you will not get tired so quickly. You will find your sleep patterns will improve. This list is another that seems endless. You know all these things already they have all been common knowledge for years and years.

Be sure not to forget one of the best reasons to stop smoking as it merits reiterating. You'll get to stay alive longer and savor all the greatly things that your extended lifespan will have to in store for you, what great reasons to stop smoking could you possibly ask for?
