According to relevant data, gastric cancer has become the second killer among all the diseases to cause death. In order to prevent gastric cancer effectively, the causes of gastric cancer should be found out. Then proper ways to prevent gastric cancer can be adopted. Gastric cancer is a kind of common malignant tumour in alimentary tract. The experts think that the diseases of digestion system are caused by eating excessive animal food and processed food. In addition, salty food can reduce the secretion of gastric acid and resist the synthesis of prostaglandin E. Prostaglandin E plays an important role in enhancing the immunity of gastric mucosa. If the content of prostaglandin E decrease, it is easy for gastric mucosa to be attacked by various aggressive factors to cause pathological changes. At the same time, salty food contains a large number of nitrate which can be transformed into nitrite to integrate with amine in the food and form nitrosamine which can cause cancer. Therefore, in order to prevent gastric cancer, plant food containing high fibers, namely, vegetarian diet, should be eaten. The diet should be mainly delicate with a simple variety. For example, the carbohydrate and protein food should not be eaten together, as the digestive juices used to digest these two kinds of food are different. In addition, onion and garlic should be eaten in our daily life. Garlic can reduce the content of nitrite which can cause the cancers, and onion contains abundant allyl sulfide which can be used to resist the transformation of nitrite into nitrosamine by the bacteria so as to stop the process of causing cancer. Some fresh fruits and vegetables should be eaten. They are beneficial to prevent gastric cancer. In addition, onion leaves contain polysaccharides which can be integrated with cancer cells so as to restrain the growth of cancer cells. The reasons to cause gastric cancer are diverse. The ways to prevent gastric cancer must be corresponding to these reasons.
