Do you ever think of having yourself free up time after working the whole day? Do you ever feel that you are getting tired of working because of working too hard over too many hours everyday of your life? Do you ever wonder how other people have the energy to get other things done even after working for the whole day?

You will learn that the key to succeeding all of your goals is to set them for yourself only using realistic and achievable time management in your planning.

Studies have proven that frustration is created by the struggle of managing our daily disruptions such as emails, calls, meetings, visitors, and sudden emergencies. These interruptions and distractions only lead to increase of your stress level.

Communication Time Management

You can decrease the time wasted using the telephone by simply refusing to be put on hold, waiting for someone to come back to you later while you wait on the phone. If someone is not available when you call, find the right time to call the person back, or you can leave message for them to get back to you. Don’t waste your precious time waiting around for other people who do not respect your time.

You can reduce your phone calls by reducing the amount of people whom you will give your phone number to which will reduce the number of incoming calls.

Try to make very detailed, but flexible, schedules well in advance for your upcoming meetings or any business activities so you can monitor the time for your work and for the other activities outside the office.

Make Time to Reduce Stress

Plan a time of the day where you can make yourself free for any meditation for yourself. Take time for yourself in your work day even if only for a few minutes.

Having a few minutes of peace and quiet, contemplating calm relaxing places makes you more relaxed and stress free. This may help you stay calm when problems arise, and you manage your time better with less stress.

Your work can always be left at the office, don’t forget that it is not the only thing that is in your whole life. So make yourself available when you need time for your personal and family matters.

Managing visitors and meetings

Meetings and personal visitors can never be entertained at the same time. So make organized plans where you allocate your time for work or social occasions.

In case you have unexpected visitors, you have to try to establish why they have to come over and meet you. Maybe there will be important matters to talk about. If so, arrange an appropriate time to meet with them away from your work environment.

Professionals who work from home often experience the problem of people assuming they are always available for socializing. It is essential that you make it clear to friends and family that you still work full time, even if it is from a home office, and that they need to respect your time in your workplace.
