The word cancer ringS a bell when ever we hear it. there are basically various forms of cancer.But, Mesothelioma is just one form of cancer. most people dont realise that cancer is preventable. In many cases,learning what causes cancer and what the risk factor are, Is the first step in cancer prevention. Many cancer risk factors can be avoided thereby reducing the possibilities of developing them.
The environment you are in can cause cancer, for instance, Exposure to asbestos, A group of minerals found in housing and industrial building materials can cause mesothelioma. Asbestos is the only conclusive cause of this form of cancer. Pleural mesothelioma is a fatal cancer tha affect the lungs and presently has no cure and thereby resulting to death. asbestos was widely used due to its good insulating properties and may be found in oil refinaries within piping, tanks, boiler, reactors, furnances and pumps in the form of insulator.
However, asbestors may also be found in roofing tiles, floor or ceiling tiles, drywall, plaster and even duct tapes. If inhaled, the claw lilke composition of asbestos fibers cling to pleural lining of the lungs for up to fifty years before an individual may experience a symptoms common associated to the ailment. Due to the long period of the ailment an individual may not be diagnosed for years after the first exposure to asbestos.Once diagnose the majority of the sufferers will react to this aggressive form of cancer in less than two years.
Futhermore, the use of oil also has its own disadvantages, for instance, oil refining causes environmental problems and health harzards. Among this health harzard is a medical condition know as mesothelioma which is a fatal (resulting to death) form of cancer that can affect oil refinery workers. Moreover, we can no longer affored to rely on oil refining pocesses that endanger our lives, asbestos present in our housing and building materials and mining, tailing being deposited in the lakes. Therefore it is high time we started considering alternative energy source which include the natural solar energy, alternative fuel for vehicle, proper disposal of mining tailings, And better housing and industrial building material which will lead to a better health and reduce mesothelioma causes.
