Acne is not a desirable condition to be in not only because it is unsightly but also since it is painful. A lot of people suffer from acne especially acne on chin and many would love to find a cure that doesn't rely on prescription drug, ointments, creams, and what-have-you that do not guarantee lasting effects. Everyone would love an acne on chin remedy that lasts without having to shell out a lot of money.

If you are among the many acne sufferers who seek treatments that are effective yet inexpensive, better read on and find out easy ways to treat your acne on chin at home:

• Don't touch your face. Keep your hands away from your face as much as possible and avoid picking, squeezing and popping your pimples. If you squeeze a pimple, your hands will be infected with the bacteria and when you touch your hands on other parts of your face, you will be just spreading it around and cause another outbreak! Popping your pimples increase the possibility of having acne scars too!

• Wash your face properly and that means washing your face gently. Scrubbing your face is painful and will cause your pimples to pop and you wouldn't want that to happen, would you? Wash your face once in the morning and again at night before you go to sleep. Use your fingertips and a mild antibacterial cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a clean cloth.

• Don't exfoliate with harsh materials and means. Scrubbing is the most common way to exfoliate but it is not advisable since it could only make things worse.

• Reduce stress. Stress does not necessarily cause acne but it could make your existing acne worse so better avoid getting to hyped up with your issues.

• Avoid wearing sports helmets with chin straps if you don't need to use them since they could only accumulate sweat and dirt and aggravate your acne on chin. If you need to use one, line the chin strap with a clean cloth.

• Limit your sun exposure since it could irritate your skin, make your acne worse, and could cause sunburn and eventually, skin cancer!

• Don't use makeup since they can clog your pores and encourage more acne breakouts. However, if you need to use makeup, use non-comedogenic and water based ones instead of oil-based makeup which could make your acne worse. Instead of liquid foundation, choose loose powders and powder blushes instead.

• Eat a balanced diet and include plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet. Watch your iodine intake since iodine-rich food such as seafood can encourage acne build up. Recent studies also associate dairy products such as milk, cream cheese and cottage cheese with acne.

• You can use home remedies using lemon, garlic or cucumber on the acne infected areas on your face just make sure that you are using them in moderation and you rinse them out thoroughly.

These tips are just simple home acne on chin remedies. If matters are more serious, better consult a doctor.
