A majority of women would sacrifice everything in their lives to feel the joy of being a mother at some point. Many of these women experience significant difficulties when even trying to achieve the first step of motherhood: pregnancy. When you can't become pregnant, this situation can be overwhelming and disappointing. Read on for a few tips which can potentially assist you in trying to get pregnant.

1. Stop taking birth control pills If you use birth control pills regularly, stop taking them immediately if pregnancy is your goal. If you've been using this type of contraceptive for a long time, your body will not usually immediately return to normal. Be sure to remain patient!

2. Eliminate carbs from your diet. If you want to become pregnant, weight loss is vital. When you consume lots of carbs, you can easily become obese, which subsequently interrupts your regular reproductive functions. A diet low in carbohydrates can aid your chances of getting pregnant if you have any type of polycystic ovarian syndrome.

3. Engage in intercourse on every second day Excessive sex won't really help you get pregnant. Having sex frequently will significantly reduce the male partner's sperm count. Take a break between sessions of intercourse in order to recoup a normal sperm count.

4. Use the correct sexual positions. Your chances of pregnancy are significantly altered depending on the sexual positions you choose. When you assume the correct position, it aids the sperm's travel towards the female's egg by using the natural force of gravity. One effective position is placing the female's hips on top of a pillow in missionary position, which will aid the transit of the sperm.
