Not all oils are bad your complexion! Instead of buying more acne creams moisturizers and you can go directly to the source and use a one of the main ingredients in many health and beauty products to help treat your acne.

Coconut oil is an amazing substance. It has been used in tropical lands for ages because coconuts are in such abundance and are so versatile and healthy for the body. made from the meat of the coconut, the oil is solid, white, and waxy below 76 degrees fahrenheit. Above this temperature it melts in to a clear-white oily liquid. Many people cook with the oil and it is found in lots of asian dishes as it leaves a sweet taste and isn't bad for your heart like saturated trans fats. You can find it at just about any health food store for about $13 or so. Just be sure to purchase the 'organic extra virgin' variety.

Because of its highly antiviral, highly antibacterial, properties coconut oil cleanses your skin and treats your acne and skin infections naturally and safely. And because it is not a tans-fatty polyunsaturated type of oil you don't have to worry about it causing more acne than it eliminates.

It has softening and moisturizing effect on the skin and is found in many health and beauty products as a base or lubricant. It can smooth away acne, blemishes, scarring, and even wrinkles.  One of the best things about using this oil on your skin is its antioxidant effects and protection against free radicals which will also reduce the signs of aging in your face.

People who have used coconut oil to treat acne have reported that their cystic acne boils have nearly all stopped or hardly form and that the  duration of their pimples lasts only about a day or two. They also report  far fewer outbreaks happening at all. This is great news for those who know the struggles that come with problem acne.

So how do you use coconut oil to treat your acne? It's very simple. First make sure you've purchased organic extra virgin coconut oil. Now start massaging it in to your skin daily. It's probably best to wash your face very well or apply it after a shower. Leave it on your face for an hour or so, even longer is ok too, since your skin will just absorb he oil. It's probably not  great idea to get it all over your pillow case or clothing since it will become a solid again when it cools to room temperature.
