Your wedding day would not be complete without a gesture, token or formal 'thank you' for each and every guest in attendance. These people came bearing gifts for you, some from across the street and some from a great distance because they felt being there with you was important and being invited was appreciated. In return a simple gesture in the form of a wedding favor and followed up with a proper thank you card will not only go a long way but as far as etiquette goes it really is necessary.

To select a favor that reflects you as a couple, or the flow of your ceremony does not have to be a time consuming process, nor does it have to be costly. Remember when it comes to giving a 'gift' it is the thought that counts. Writing out a formal thank you card also costs you nothing but time and postage. When you overlook the thank you people DO notice! The follow up is just as important as the invitation to have people be there that day. This serves to let people know they got your gift and took the time to touch base with you and acknowledge their gesture. The wedding favor you have them leave the reception with also serves as a token thank you, it can even include a note of thanks but will not replace the formal card that needs to follow. These small gifts can be incorporated into their homes, offices, carried in a purse even on display in a china cabinet as a permanent reminder of your special day and how much you appreciated them being a part of it.

The wedding favor is a thank you that is a memento of the day, and a reflection of you and your partner. The thank you card is a very personalized message to the individual and the mark of good manners on the part of the bride and groom. They both are beautiful gestures to end your celebration and the favor and the card will be thoughtful ways for each to remember being included in a day that meant so much to you.
