As a pregnant mother you should be prepared to be patient and ready to endure the worst levels of stress and fatigue during these weeks of your pregnancy. If you have an open heart and mind you should be able to handle the latest set of discomforts to experience during your pregnancy.

You are now 31 weeks pregnant. Prepare yourself for the decline in comfort levels since your body is prepared for more rooms of growth. You increase in bulk and your baby definitely accumulates layers of fat. The baby continues to occupy more room in your womb as he reaches 18 inches and 3 and ½ pounds. The growing of your baby makes the skin less wrinkled and movements become irregular. This week, the mother begins to experience colostrum leakage. Colostrum is a yellowish liquid that provides antibodies and nutrients for the baby. There are times when the leakage is excessive that mothers are advised to use nursing pads to avoid public embarrassments. Moreover, mothers are subject to pelvic pain too. This happens because a hormone called relaxin is produced causing the pelvis to loosen up.

Mothers who are already 31 weeks pregnant engage in yoga to relax the muscles and become more prepared for delivery. Yoga can also help mothers who are having difficulty with deep breaths caused by the growing baby’s push in the diaphragm. Week 31 is the right time to decide for the mode of giving birth. Vaginal births are normal and healthier but more and more women opt for caesarian operations. The woman always has the right to chose which mode of birth is best for her although it pays to seek physician’s advise on this matter. There are circumstances that cause you to opt for caesarian births. Instances of active infection of herpes, cervix is enclosed by placenta or even babies who are in breech are just a few reasons for caesarian births.

Pregnancy week 32 is still a good time to decide for the mode of birth. Aside from having the thought of vaginal or caesarian operation in mind, take some time to enjoy knowing that your baby is now 19 inches in length and weighs 4 pounds. This time, the volume of blood that is in the woman’s body is approximately 40 times more than what she is normally containing. Pain is still dominating during pregnancy week 32. Back pains and pelvic pains throughout the buttocks are usually the complaints of most pregnant mothers. This happens because you and your body are gaining extra weight which your body is responsible of carrying over until your due date. Still, fibrous diets and plenty of water is recommended to address constipation and possible occurrence of hemorrhoids. Expect your hips and other ligaments to loosen up gearing for further expansion.

With all the presence of pains, difficulty in breathing and baby becoming heavier from time to time, the mother needs to struggle for convenience and patience. Enduring the pains of pregnancy is showing how much love you can extend to your baby.
