It is important that older people can chew as long as possible well on their food. That concludes Roxane Weijenberg of the department clinical Neuropsychologie of the free university Amsterdam in its Article in the illustrated magazine Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews. People with a reduced jackdaw function have, as it happens, a larger chance of dying, disabled of becoming - and also to develop dementia.

Roxane Weijenberg studied a lot of different international study to animals and to people and drew from that these conclusions: `At some study with mice the cogs were taken off, whereupon the animals got ground food. You saw then that both the memory function and the health of the brain reverse went. In study at people similar results were found. These conclusions are important among other things for the food policy in nursing homes. `What frequently sees you are that already eating becomes vermalen', thus meadow badgering mount. `Sometimes because that easier it is, but sometimes also because the meal is not differently supplied simply. If there are slikproblemen has been ground food the correct choice, but when there is no medical need, it is better ordinary well chew.

Chewing Can may alsoprevent memory loss as we grow old, scientists have discovered. New memories are briefly stored in area of the brain closely associated with learning called the hippocampus.

As we age hippocampal cells start to deteriorate and this leads to a reduction in the power of the short-term memory. So, chewing food well is also good exercise for your muscles. Chew well and live a healthy life.
