If you are a bride's maid and you have to plan the bridal shower, there are some things you must learn before you start. This involves the bridal shower etiquette and what you should and should not do for the event. So, how do you know what bridal shower etiquette to follow? Well, take a look below.

When you look at the bridal shower etiquette, you will find that there are lots of different one and that some people have different ideas as to what rules there should be. The best way to plan a great bridal shower, is to find out what you can and cannot do for the bridal shower. Before you go out and hire male strippers, make sure that the bride is ok with this. You can of course find out in a subtle way so that she does not know what you are planning. Other things like wild clubbing, or going to casinos should be planned with consulting the bride and groom first to make sure that everyone is ok with it.

The activities and where you are going are not the only etiquette you have to think about. There is also etiquette about serving some snacks or food at the bridal shower and you might also consider the invitations and favors part of this as well. In the past it was always the head bride's maid or maid of honor that planned the shower. Today this is not as adhered to. Sometimes all the bride's maids plan it, and sometimes you can even have the mother of the bride planning it if she wants to.

There are no hard and fast rules for who plans the shower, but you should think about the actual event when it comes to etiquette. Someone must be in charge of the bride and watch out for her that night. Some bridal showers take place at night clubs or are spent bar hopping. You might have the first part of the evening at someone's house and then go out later.

When you decide to go out, there will probably be drinking involved so someone must make sure that the bride gets home safely and that she does not get into any trouble that night which will probably be the night before she gets married.

The most important bridal shower rule is to have fun, but to be safe at all times. This means that if you are drinking, don't let the bride to be get too drunk. She will kill you if she feels terrible walking down the aisle and wishes she were in bed instead of enjoying her day.

Another thing to watch out for is other men. The last thing you will want on your conscience is a bride who has had a fling with some stranger the night before her wedding. The most important part of the bridal shower etiquette is to have fun, but be safe.

Now that you have all the rules and etiquette to follow, you can go ahead and start planning a fun filled, exciting evening that everyone will enjoy.
