Hair is considered the mirror to our health as it has some of the cells that grow the fastest in our body. When the body is unhealthy, the body redirects the cells energy to somewhere else. When this happens it usually leads to hair loss. Other causes of hair loss include a hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, surgery, medication, and thyroid conditions. In addition hair loss causes include tension and too much stress. There are some steps that you can take to prevent hair loss.

Ensure that you visit a dermatologist to evaluate your hair loss. Sometimes it can be a health condition so you need to get a professional opinion on the matter. When the expert diagnoses you with a thyroid complication, it's important that you be patient with the treatment given. Sometimes it takes time for the hormones to balance before hair loss stops. Sometimes it may take months for this to happen. A dermatologist will recommend that you use a mild shampoo maybe twice weekly. It's important that you completely rinse the shampoo from your hair. When shampoo residue builds up, it tend to give the hair a dull and limp look. It's important to have a lot of iron in your diet. Having limp brittle hair is an indicator of lack of deficiency. Spinach contains high amounts of iron.

Another suitable mineral is Zinc that stops the hair from graying and thinning. Most people who are overweight tend to have Zinc deficiencies causing hair loss. Among the foods that have Zinc are wholegrain flour and stone ground. You should familiarize yourself with the different hair loss conditions; some hair loss conditions are caused by fungal infection. Having low amounts of Vitamin B causes dandruff and color loss to the hair. In addition vitamin C is utilized by the blood capillaries.

Ensure that you regularly shampoo your hair. It is essential to have a clean scalp to ensure that there is proper circulation of blood. In addition a clean scalp will stop the accumulation of dead skin that affect hair growth. There are a number of ideal shampoos in the market that are made with suitable ingredients for your scalp. You should eat a diet that is high in green vegetables and fruits. In addition you should drink 10-12 glasses of water each and every day.

You should also use a comb that is wide toothed; it useful because it helps distribute the conditioner evenly across the entire scalp. It also helps to get rid of knots. When removing knots, you should run the comb widely on the hair. You should also untangle hair in sections and avoid pulling it. Untangling your hair should be daily process before you go to bed. Ensure that you hair never lacks moisture by using a leave-in conditioner regularly. It improves your hair texture and helps to untangle the hair easily. Olive oil is another important ingredient for improving the strength of your hair and stopping it from falling out.
