Tinnitus if a very common problem; it is known as ringing in ears. Symptoms may include ringing, buzzing, beeping, chirping, whooshing, whistling and many other symptoms. This is usually a temporary condition that goes away quickly. However a person may have another health related issue that is causing this to happen. The intensity of tinnitus can range from person to person and in pitch.

Sometimes tinnitus can have a circle affect and just keep going around and around. This is because when one thing is to blame for a problem it can cause another and that problem leads back to the original problem. So really it is a no win situation. When suffering with anxiety or a panic disorder you may find that the symptoms can be harsher on the sufferer.

There are more serious conditions that we deal with that could be the root of our tinnitus. The first thing that we need to do is clarify what we are dealing with and change them. Whether it is blood pressure, anxiety, weight, cholesterol or another major illness, we can make our doctor aware of this and get treatment through medication immediately. This should improve the ringing in ears symptom. If this does not help then you may need a simple medication change or start to make some serious lifestyle changes. When we have problems such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol then it can be a little more annoying. This is in part due to the fact that we can hear the blood rushing through the vessels; it is pulsatile tinnitus and the sounds can be shut off.

Everyone at some point in their life has suffered with sinusitis or allergies. This can affect us and heighten our tinnitus. Mucous has a tendency to be over powering with these conditions. When you have a stuffy nose or head congestion, it can make your ears hear sounds that are muffled therefore a ringing in ears symptom can start. Even if you were to go to a doctor for a script for antibiotics or antihistamines, chances are that these will cause the ringing. This has been common with a lot of medications or the mucous may even become thicker. Either way you look at the situation you will have to just wait it out until your ringing subsides.

Atherosclerosis is another condition that is very rare; it is where others can hear the same thing that you do. All that you have to do is take a stethoscope and place it on the ear and you will be able to hear the sounds. All the conditions listed above should try to be alleviated with whatever method that you can find that works for you. Tinnitus is incurable but you may find a noise distraction that works to alleviate the noise. Try to find some background noise that will cover the annoying buzzing, ringing or beeping and you will notice that some of it will just disappear.
