Christian rehab centers are very central to the recovery process. It gives the addict an opportunity to embrace change and transformation. With the Word of God as its foundation, the faith based institution provides treatment that centers on the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The addict who engages and embraces this type of teaching will learn more about life and its ups and downs and how to deal with it. They will realize that trouble is always going to be there because we live in such an imperfect world. They will certainly understand what it means to truly love someone as God loves them. They will be introduced to the spiritual affairs that govern the spiritual world that they can be a part of.

Christian treatment centers have radical methods to fight against the evil forces of darkness. The addict is able to understand the basics of fasting and praying. They understand the principles of the Bible as it relates to the worship of God; the love of God; the Supreme power of God; the strength of God and the hope that God provides for them in this dark world.

A lot of people mistake Christian treatment programs for religion. It does not have strong bearing on religious affiliations, but on the relationship that one can have with the Almighty God. It hinges on the inner man and the spirituality of the addict. An addict knows hardly anything about their spirituality and the kind of access that they have to God through it. They know nothing about what it will take to gain enough strength to conquer their addiction because this has more to do with the spiritual realm than the flesh.

Mary understood this to a certain degree because she grew learning and understanding about the love of God. Somewhere down the line, Mary strayed away from the truth and accepted the lie that the enemy brought to her through the temptation of drugs and alcohol. In Mary's case, she was battling dual diagnosis, which was very difficult to diagnose and treat.

Mary was influenced by the friends that she used to hang around with, but she is the one that made the choice out of temptation. At the Christian treatment centers, people like Mary are faced with the consequences that caused their addiction. They have to deal with it head on. However, no one judges them. They are offered a way out of it that will give them hope for the future.

Mary took that opportunity because it was the only one she had at the time after trying so many other treatment programs that did not work. There were times that Mary felt like giving up, but God gave her the strength to persevere and the determination to see her success in recovery. Today, she is a role model to her children and to her family members. She volunteers at one of these faith based rehabs twice per week and she loves to see the impact that her service has on the addicts that come and go.
