Dry dehydrated skinmeans dead skin cells, dull looking appearance, skin rashes and itchiness. You want your skin to be plump, dewy, radiant and hydrated. But it seems that something is zapping away the moisture from your skin. What could it be?

Here are 8 possible moisture zapping culprits that could bedraining away the moisture from your skin.

8. Your Cleansers and soaps

Harsh cleansers will cleanse away the surface oils and debris, but will also strip away your skin's moisture level.

7. Water

Pure H2O is good. Chlorinated water is bad. Unfortunately the water from nearly all tap water contains chlorine. That is why some people may experience dryness after just splashing tap water on their face. The nasty chlorine is the culprit, not the H2O itself.

6: What are you drinking?

Alcohol and coffee are big contributing factors for drying out skin moisture. Alcohol and coffee is a diuretic and it causes the body to flush out its much-needed water content as you digest it. More frequent toilet trips literally sends your moisture level down the drain.

5. Household Products

Your body is often exposed to household products such as cleaners and detergents that can dry and irritate. Work with vinyl gloves and long-handled brushes to protect the skin when doing household chores.

4: The Sun

The ultra violet sun rays will dehydrate your body and cause your oil glands to work overdrive. A double wammy. Moisture gets drained from your body leaving your skin dehydrated, and secondly oil glands go hyperactive leading to acne.
