Why does anyone want to go under the knife to change the looks of their body? They faced multiple risks and complications that can potentially leave them scarred or even worse lead to death in some cases. Is changing the way one looks worth the health risks of augmentation surgery? There are millions of men and women who make this decision daily and many women have opted for breast augmentation so that they can become more confident about the way they look. This has become so commonplace that it has almost become a social norm for women to have work done to their breasts if they feel that their breasts are either too small or not as shapely as they desired. Why do so many women and sometimes men go for such surgery? Are they making a correct decision by deciding to have surgery to improve their looks? Society places a lot of pressure on men and women to look their best if they want to be able to achieve anything of significant in their career. For women who want to be able to establish themselves in the workplace, they must be able to look confident and well dressed. In order to achieve such confidence, many women will seek some form of augmentation surgery, as this is one of the areas that make some women feel inadequate. Going for surgery in order to improve one's looks is not a wrong thing to do. In many cases, it can help a person gain the confidence that they lack and may even improve one's quality of life as they become less self-conscious as well. However one should not opt for such cosmetic surgery purely out of societal pressure.
