Falling in love is like nothing else. It leaves you with such a feeling if fulfillment. Once you've been in love you realize that it's an incredibly rare thing. If your relationship with your boyfriend recently ended, you may be feeling a little lost and alone. These feelings are only amplified if your ex boyfriend moved on and started dating someone new. It's easy to feel that all hope is lost, but it's not. There are things you can do now that will help increase the chance of getting him back. If the break up was even partially your fault you need to make amends before you stand even a remote chance of getting him back. Even if you are feeling hurt that your ex boyfriend moved on so quickly, still make a point of apologizing for what you did. It doesn't need to be an elaborate apology. There is no need for a long drawn out email or phone call. Simply say you are sorry for your actions and leave it at that. You also need to try and maintain some sort of relationship with him if you want to get him back. The best approach to this is to take the stance of being a supportive friend. Don't go overboard by telling him constantly that you and he are friends and that you are there for him. Actions speak much louder than words so be present in subtle ways and he'll pick up on your openness to be his friend. After your ex boyfriend moved on you may have been tempted to tell him that he had to be your romantic partner or you'd refuse to talk to him. You don't want to do this as you need there to be a connection between the two of still, even if it's just friends for now. Rejection is often part of the process when you are trying to get your ex boyfriend back . You may call him up and ask him to hang out and he'll tell you that he can't because he has other plans. Don't take this personally. The best approach is to act as though it's not a big deal. By the same token don't always be available to him. Your first instinct after you realized your ex boyfriend moved on might have been to be always available when he wants you, whether it's just to talk or to go out. Don't do this. Make him have to work to spend time with you too.
