The Christian rehab progams in cities around the country in America do offer a range of services that give addict's more options to choose from when it comes to their drug and alcohol addiction. Their treatment approach is unique, innovative, spiritual and holistic in nature. It targets the mental condition of a person and their spiritual strength. The soul and the spirit is the highlight of treatment because that is the area in which the evil forces of darkness will begin their plague. The spirit and soul has to go through a detoxification process in a faith based environment. This calls for praying and fasting to draw on the strength of God.

The staff and professionals in all Christian treatment centers know how to pray and fast and utilize other extreme and safe methods to treatment to call on the forces of light. The detoxification of the mind and the soul is an intangible way for the professionals to rid the addict of any preconceived notions that the treatment won't work for them and for them to understand the power of the love of God and how God's strength can help them to recover from their bad habit.

An addict can be successful in the Christian recovery centers environment if they are willing to admit that they have a problem and are committed to taking their treatment to the level that will afford them that success. Denise did just that. She was an alcoholic for two years. It was two years too long because she had small children and if she did not stop her alcoholic addiction behavior, her children were going to end up in foster care as she was already threatened that this would happen.

Her alcoholic addiction behavior pattern let her go on drinking binges so much so that she was never aware of when her children came and went. It was the neighbors who had to provide care in terms of food for the children. Denise was always in a drunken stupor.

She ended going to one of the Christian treatment centers in her area after several attempts at the traditional form of rehab. One of her neighbors took it upon herself to get help for Denise. She was a volunteer at one of these faith based treatment facilities and knew that if she could only get Denise to see that she needed help, then she could save her children. The neighbor was also aware that the alcohol was a solution that Denise used to dull the pain that she was feeling from her divorce with her husband so the neighbor did not judge her.

Good neighbors like this are hard to find. Some neighbors would have already reported her to HRS, but this one did not. Denise did accept the offer to try one final time to quit her alcoholic addiction in a faith based environment. She was glad that she did. She ended up leaving the program clean and sober and has since maintained sobriety now for three years.
