Who do you want to be remembered as? Imagine you decided to build a house. You collected some material that you thought looked nice and that you thought might be useful for building houses. Out of this material you picked up the pieces that seemed to go well together and you started to build a foundation. You continued to add more pieces that you thought looked useful. The building became higher and higher. After building for about 80 years you became tired and decided to stop building. You sat down to look at what you had accomplished. Unfortunately, although you had devoted your whole life for this building project, the result was more a pile of junk rather than a house. You had never used a plan for your house. You never had an image of the finished house in your head when you started. Because of this no house was created. Many people use the same "method" when they build their lives. They collect diplomas and experiences that they think "look nice", and they put these together in ways that seem reasonable and appropriate according to the laws of society. The problem is that if you don't have a plan of what kind of life you are building, your life will most likely end up as just a pile rather than a castle. Collecting a pile of interesting experiences is fine if you are satisfied with that. However, if you want people to remember you after you leave this life, you will need more than just "a pile". You will need a clear building that people will be able to recognise. The Eiffel Tower would be very difficult to recognise if the material it is built with was just put together randomly. Fortunately, the people who built it had a construction plan, and because of this it can now be recognised by people all over the world. If you want to leave a legacy, you need to decide what that legacy will be. What will your building look like? Who will you be remembered as? If people write books about you, what will they write? Ones you know what you want the end-product to look like, it will be much easier to make sure that every piece that you add to it on the way will get into the right position. Once you know who you want to be remembered as you can start to think about what to do to become that person. Visit to get more inspiration about how to make the most of your life!
