Hormones control many aspects of our lives. They influence our love, our personality and even certain diseases. Hormones can even affect hair loss. This is especially true with women. Female hormonal hair loss causes rapid hair loss, which can be quite upsetting to women and is the most common cause of hair loss for women. One cause of female hormonal hair loss is due to pregnancy. Your hormones fluctuate like crazy when you are pregnant but your hair is usually fuller than it was before you got pregnant. After giving birth is when women start to lose their hair. Sure it could be from the stress having a newborn can bring. More than likely it is just from your hormones trying to level out. This type of hair loss can also occur when a woman goes through the change. Menopause makes women's bodies change in many ways. The hormonal imbalances they go through can also cause hair loss. The bright side of this is that as soon as their hormones go back to where they should be, your hair loss should subside. Poor nutrition is another cause of female hormonal hair loss is poor nutrition. Your body needs the right vitamins and minerals to keep it operating in top shape. The nutrients help your body with producing FSH, Follicle Stimulating hormone. This hormone is what controls hair loss and growth. If your body is not producing enough of this hormone you will find that your hair will suffer. Anorexia and bulimia are one way many women are losing their hair due to poor nutrition. These dangerous conditions many women are turning to cause harm to your hair and many other parts of your body. Changing your eating habits and taking a multivitamin for hair, skin and nails can help knock out hair loss that comes from this. ** Stress can also be a cause of female hormonal hair loss. It messes with many different chemicals in your body. The key thing with stress is to find some way to get rid of it. You can do this through meditation, even if it is just for e5 minutes a day. Meditation will help center you which can decrease stress. Exercise is another way to combat stress. Exercising releases endorphins that will make you feel good. It will also help you to have a better body image which can help. Female hormonal hair loss is a serious problem. It affects many women each year. The great thing about it though is that as soon as the hormones level off the hair loss will go away. Depending on the cause of the hormonal imbalance it may be more difficult to get it balanced, but once it does, you are in the clear. If you think that it has gone on for too long, visit your doctor. He or she can sit down with you and figure out why your hormones are imbalanced and come up with a treatment plan to get them back in order and thus regain your hair.
