Whose responsibility is it for you to perform at your full potential?
Who can you complain to if you are given all of the tools to succeed but chose not to use them?
Who really cares if you succeed at all?
If these questions seem unusual to you or you are one of those people who believe that this world, this county, or this government owes you a damn thing, I feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for you because somewhere on your path up to right now you honestly thought that someone was going to hold your hand and pull you into the life that you wanted. I feel sorry for you because you are still waiting on that winning lotto ticket. I'm sorry for you because you are trapped inside your own mind, and from that you can never escape. You can only change it to become a place of peace.
The dwelling of your subconscious can take many forms. For some it is a vast horizon with limitless possibilities. SO limitless in fact, that is impossible to choose a direction and move forward so they just sit – staring into oblivion. For others, their muse lies with in the walls of a prison cell; a 6' x 6'cold, hard dungeon full of unfamiliar and unfriendly faces. For some, this environment is just the spark they need to release their genius; visions expressed lyrically in rhyme or thoughts written and transformed into the next New York Times Bestseller. Others cannot start fighting from center ring. They have to be pushed into a corner.
The power of the subconscious is awe inspiring. Imagine if you would, for just a moment a freezing child wrapped in da Vinci's original blueprint of the first helicopter. Would you strip the child bare to save the document knowing how important it is to the course of history? How about finding a check written to "cash" for $10,000 (a large, yet small enough value for this example) completely covered and soaked in vomit and feces. Concepts can be beauty and pain, love and grief, success and failure. It is a conscious decision as to which one we choose.
Your perception is your true hidden power. Learn to control how you feel about something and master destiny itself. How can a man work 19hrs a day in a corporate high rise to generate the funds necessary to support the family he never sees? How can a mother leave her children and go off to another county to work and save with the sole intent of one day bringing them to a "better life"? Leave her kids behind to create a future. Could you do that?
Your life is 10% action and 90% reaction. You control your own destiny. Whether you're some fat slob that has thousands of dollars of exercise equipment and DVDs stored away in your closet. Or if you're that funny, charming secretary who, because he can't get the respect he feels he deserves from his job, beats his wife and exerts his frustrations on the one person that loves him the most, for her love is unwavering.
It's not what is perceived that will get you to where you want to be. It truly is who you are as a person inside your head. Is that little voice helping or hurting you? If you are not happy with that, there is only one way and one chance you have to correct it. You have to go back to the dreamer. Go back to when the world was your oyster and start fresh. Erase all the memories that hold you back but keep the lessons they taught you. And it must be NOW. You have got to move NOW. Any further planning or preparation will only wither your intent.
Make a decision and act on it. Start Now. Change Now.
