Thechair stair lifthas become an important addition to aid in accessibility. It stands to reason that when you think about who is in need of a chair lift, we immediately think about the elderly. That is not necessary the case. Unfortunately, there are many others that are not of the geriatric age who are in need of a chair lift. There's one situation that readily comes to mind. Diabetes is leading the charge (and is named the silent killer) of being one the most afflicting and debilitating illness. What most people do not know is that diabetes is leaving thousands of people without limbs ( usually their legs), that are not seniors. One has to second guess who really needs a chair lift and why.
Believe it or not... not only are seniors capitalizing on this new revolutionary method of movement but people of all ages are requiring a safe way to get around in their homes and an electric or battery powered lift seems to be high on their list of options.
Basically, the chair stair lift was designed for the disabled and the elderly. However, many others are in need of mobility assistance. Many houses have two or more levels and it is hard for the aged and handicapped or arthritic to safety maneuver up or down stairs. For any one that has difficulty climbing stairs, there are a few options for travel up and down the stars. One option is using the old stand by... crutches which can be very dangerous. Although crutches were made to assist mobility, there is also a element of risk with crutches on stairs. It is no secret that, it is easy to misstep and fall, which can cause an even bigger problem. Or you may need your crutches only to realize that they has slid under the bed or too far away to grab. Without doubt, most seniors and disabled persons would prefer to be more independent and safe... which is where the chair lift comes into service.
To ensure security and freedom many physically challenged persons are making a decision to invest in chair lifts. Why? Because they are safe, inexpensive (considering the cost of an aide for home healthcare) and it gives your loved one the lifestyle that they have come to love and grown accustomed too.
