Use the power of setting goals to enhance your success rate of getting into shape. By setting goals you are actually making a choice of where you desire to be at certain points in your life, whether that is within one month or five years. By deciding exactly what it is that you want to achieve, you then can determine what you have to do in order to reach those goals and what you have to focus your efforts on. It prevents a scattergun type of approach that gets you no where and you also can quickly take notice of the distractions that would otherwise prevent you from reaching your goal and put into place plans to prevent them or to curtail them from derailing your efforts.

By setting clear goals you will find the motivation to be successful, and as you achieve each of your goals, you will grow in confidence until it becomes a natural part of your life. First you need to decide what your overall goal is and then break it down into smaller achievable steps that will lead you to fulfill your main goal. You need to keep our goals realistic. By setting smart goals that you can achieve in a step by step fashion you will increase your motivation towards success and your self belief. Setting a goal brings excitement as it gives you a target to aim at, a purpose and a plan to work towards instead of just wandering about aimless as lost soul. /? 210510" Writing Smart Goals Education

1) Goals will give you motivation.
2) Goals will maintain your focus.
3) Achievable goals will increase your self confidence.
4) Goals will guide you towards a path to success.
5) Goals will enhance your determination.
6) Achievable goals will give you a sense of fulfillment.

Firstly, make sure you set goals that are as specific as possible. Be careful to ensure the goals are measurable, so you actually know when you have achieved them and can progress to the next goal in your step. Keep your goals action-oriented, so you can have a sound structure and steps to take in order to make each goal become a reality.

Secondly your goals have to be realistic or you will more then likely get discouraged. Think of writing a book for example. Writing a best seller in one week in unrealistic. However breaking it down into bite sized steps of writing a page a day is realistic and achievable. Losing 10 pounds in one month despite a myriad fad weight-loss products proclaiming it is possible is not only unrealistic but also potentially dangerous. So be realistic with your goals. Losing 10 pounds is a good goal but again break it down into achievable steps like 1 pound a week. /? 210510" Writing Smart Goals Education
