Some people want to understand what causes balding, why it takes place. This is a tricky question that holds many answers. There are a number of different reasons. And it can be one reason or another that they are causing you to lose your hair. The first step in understanding the hair loss process is to understand the natural growth process.

Natural hair loss can happen to anyone. Even though it usually happens to older people, as their bodies cannot control hormones the way they once could or simply because everything becomes weakened, the older you get. The great thing is that you do not have to live with natural hair loss. You can fight it with many different treatment products and procedures. If you are aware of it, you can catch the hair loss when it first starts which is the best time. Most of the time natural hair loss is really the result of androgenic alopecia. This is caused by the body converting testosterone into DHT. The DHT attacks the hair follicles causing them to shrink and become weakened. Eventually they stop producing hair altogether. As a person ages, their body tends to have a harder time controlling chemicals in our body, such as DHT. This is part of the reason many older suffer from natural hair loss.

Natural hair loss is not always as natural as a person may think it is. For instance many women who are going through menopause may think that their hair loss is natural. However, it could be coming from the hormones in their body being out of balance as they go through the change. Older people may even think they are really suffering from natural hair loss but it may really be the result of a medication they are taking. It could even be diabetes that is causing their hair loss, however they are chalking it up to natural causes.

There are many different reasons a person could be experiencing what they believe to be natural hair loss. The good thing about this is that people do not have to suffer with being bald. There are many different treatments that can help stop the hair loss. The cool thing is that since most natural hair loss is the result of pattern hair loss; there are more treatments for this type of hair loss than any other one out there. You can take pills such as Propecia and even hormone replacement drugs. You can use different crams and foams such as Minoxodil, which is the same thing as Rogaine and Tricomin Therapy Spray. You can even use laser comb or laser therapy. These work the same way, by allowing your head to be subjected to certain light, it helps it grow in thicker and may even help prevent hair loss. Any hair loss should be reported to your doctor. He or she can help you figure out the cause of your hair loss. Knowing the cause will help you figure out the best treatment.
