There isn't a woman alive who wants to hear that her boyfriend needs time . The phrase itself isn't that direct, but its implied meaning is. When a man says he needs time that's generally the first step towards a break up. It's easy to jump into panic mode when the man you adore tells you that he wants his space and room to think. Panicking won't get him back though. There are things that a woman can do to ensure that when he's done taking his time to think that he'll be back asking her for a second chance.

The single most important thing you can do when your boyfriend needs time is accept that fact. It's useless and even can be damaging to the relationship to try and convince him to rethink his decision. If you approach him after he states that he needs a break and you tell him that you aren't supportive or worse yet, you try and plead with him to reconsider the relationship he'll be more inclined to end things for good. Respecting the person you love is essential if you hope to have a future with them. If he says that he needs some time apart to sort through his feelings and thoughts, give that to him. Tell him that you understand and that you'll use the time to consider where your head and heart is at too.

Another crucial step when your boyfriend needs time is to focus solely on yourself. Instead of reliving every moment of the relationship and where things went wrong, try and improve the person you are. Quite often when a woman gets engrossed in a relationship she forgets about her own needs and wants. This is the ideal time for you to consider what is important to you, besides your boyfriend. It may be something as simple as spending more time with friends or perhaps taking up a sport to meet others and get in shape. Choose something that you've been putting off and dive into that. Your boyfriend will not only appreciate that you are giving him what he asked for but he'll be impressed with your drive to be a better person.
