Number one: Biofeedback. Biofeedback aims to help the person achieve relaxation and control stress response by modifying the body's reactions through the use of monitoring equipment that provides information from the body. The basis of this method is the principle that the autonomic nervous system is trainable. By receiving feedback from the monitoring equipment, a person can learn to identify the processes that achieve the desired result such as decreased heart rate or lowered blood pressure.

Number two: Progressive muscle relaxation. Progress muscle relaxation is a widely used strategy for stress relief, probably because of its effectiveness. This method involves a two-step process in which you systematically tense and relax different muscle groups in the body. In order to perform this method, you first have to loosen your clothing, take off your shoes, and get comfortable. Relax, and breathe in and out slowly. Start with your right foot by slowly tensing your muscles there. Squeeze as tightly as you can, and hold for a count of ten. Then, relax. Focus on the tension flowing away, and the way your foot feels as it becomes limp and loose. Proceed with your left foot, and work your way to the rest of your body. A you can see, progressive muscle relaxation is often combined with deep breathing for an additional level of relief from stress.

Number three: Guided imagery. Guided imagery is the use of pleasant or relaxing images to calm the mind and the body. By controlling breathing and visualizing a soothing image, a state of deep relaxation can occur.

These are some ways on how stress anxiety reduction can be achieved.
