Rhonda, a solopreneure, started to write a paper for her MBA program at ten in the evening. She worked until 1:00 a.m.. Then, satisfied that the paper could be turned in class the following evening, finally went to bed.

The next morning at work, feeling exhausted, she berated himself for waiting until the last possible time to get her homework done. She always seemed to procrastinate about something important, and then push himself beyond her limits to get it done.

We've all heard it said that the hardest part about doing a project is starting it. Easy tasks have the ability to mushroom out of proportion if we don't take care of them in a timely manner. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and with that in mind, I've put together this list of five techniques to for beating procrastination and getting on with your life.

Keep Your Butt in the Chair

I once had a professor tell me that the key to having good study...

Time is something that we all have the same amount of yet some people seem to get a lot more done in that amount of time than others. Is there really a strategy to utilizing your time to the fullest? The answer is yes. There are several things you can do to increase what gets accomplished in the time you have available.

One misconception is that you will be able to get things done in your FREE time. Unfortunately there is no such thing as free time because all time is valuable and...

Time = life; therefore, waste your time and waste of your life, or master your time and master your life.--Alan Lakein

Are you a person who finds it difficult to stay focused and to stay on task? Are you regularly late for important events or do you turn in projects or homework after the deadline? If you do, you may need to improve your time management skill. The good news is that there are a number of tips that can help you do so. A few of these tips are outlined below...

Many individuals desire to know and understand some simple and effective time management techniques. The concept of "time management" is very often over complicated by many individuals. When this occurs, these people may cringe at the sound of this phrase. Electronic organizers, computer software programs, time spreadsheets - these are all extremely complicated means of effectively controlling your time, your schedule. In most cases, these are bought and used with all the best...

One of the important skills you need for time management is goal setting. Without that ability, you’ll have a much harder time taking the steps necessary to get your day organized and to complete your tasks in an orderly fashion. Below are some examples of how goal setting and time management are connected.

The Building Block Method

One of the best examples of the connection between goal setting and time management is the most effective way to accomplish...

Defining project time management means looking at a combination of actions which ultimately lead to a desired result. When you are planning a project, there is a start and end time and it's what you achieve in between which determines whether you complete your objective.

We know time itself can't be managed in a sense but how you use the time allotted to you each day is what counts. A person with a set of objectives and with the proper desire to achieve these objectives can...

Do you know that the American life style, in survival, is a cagey term.? Looking at life, you’ll see many ideas about what it really means. Some people may find the American way through life insurance premiums, television or radio programs. What makes it unique is the difference through the eyeballs of people, who live in the United States of America. The term triggers strong feelings of roots and belonging. Many companies marketing products know this.

What makes the...

These days, it seems like it's becoming harder and harder to be a humanbeingrather than a humandoing.  "Action" is the buzzword of the day (every day).

In an article I read recently, the author was discussing the oft-asked question, "What are you willing to do to be successful?" The answer, she wrote, (as often expected from those of us serious about obtaining life success) was, "Whatever it takes." She challenged this...

If you are wrong everyone will have forgotten what you said by the time it happens anyway. Having gotten that major disclaimer out of the way, let's take a look at the industry and try to make some sense out of it.

The industry really got started almost thirty years ago in the United States. Many real estate developers lured by the vision of being able to sell a $100,000 condo for $500,000 jumped in. Not realizing they were in the marketing business in which they were...
