Nowadays you can find a lot of drug rehab center around the world. Each center offer many programs which claim can help drug abuser solve their addiction problem. The question is: Are drug abusers really need treatment from rehab center? Or that place only waste the money without noteworthy results?

When the television, newspaper, or magazine give news about celebrities "recurring" to drug dependence program for the third or fourth time, many people think that rehab...

You may think of the successful lyrics of Justin Timberlake when you hear the term, “What Goes around comes around”.  Popular songs have a way of taking an old saying, and giving new expression to it.  But this term means different things to different people.

To some  “what goes around comes around” means that you will get what you deserve, or, that the chickens will come home to roost.

To others it seems to imply that you will get...

In its online form, Bingo is not about raising money for charity. It\'s about being available to anyone to play 24/7. Unfortunately one of the most popular activities online is gambling. And even though bingo enjoys a reputation of being an old ladies game and it is not a casino game, it can be every bit as addicting as any other form of gambling.

In the Internet version of Bingo, players can play anytime they want to in the comfort of their own home. Many sites offer the player...

Your first inclination might be to get angry when you find out your teen is using drugs. This a normal reaction, but please know that anger and yelling will just turn your teen's ears to the "off" position. You need to let your teen know you care about them and that you just want the best for them. You must place responsibility for their actions on their own shoulders and make them accountable without doing so in a threatening manner. Honest, open communication is the key...

We all need information on the issues that affect us. We need to hear about other people's experiences and how they have been able to deal with problems that are almost similar to what we might be going through. It is a common saying that a problem shared is half solved. Articles that have been written by other people act as good reference points for us when we want to know how to deal with world wide problems like alcoholism.

Many people dismiss addiction to alcohol as a...

What are some things you can remember before you decide to go back to the gambling casino after months of staying away? Well there are many things that should come to mind before you decide to go back on that self destructive path. These thoughts should create enough bad feelings in you to stop you from getting back in the car and returning to your gambling addiction and the despondency it causes.

1.       Remember how you felt...

Often, when working with families with young people in treatment for alcohol and/or substance abuse, there comes a time when parents must choose a path with the young person that can be a painful one.  A fork in the road appears when the young person has not yet made a full commitment to sobriety and a decision needs to be made about how to respond.  This is particularly difficult when it is time for the young person to come home.

The normal path of separation...

Drug Addiction Treatment is costly! For a celebrity or someone in an upper income level, I suppose it's affordable. The problem is that most Addicts are not in those positions. In fact, honestly, most Addicts are not even in an income level; by the time their disease advances to the point that Treatment becomes a considered option!

Rarely, Treatment is offered at $1500 to $2000 per month. For an example of where the upper end is, look at "Promises" in Malibu. A...

I believe there to be a commonality or square root in all self destructive behavior, which causes an individual to choose addiction. I also believe that addiction is a choice, and it is not caused by an incurable brain disease, a genetic predisposition, learned behavior or a chemical imbalance. However, before I describe “The Square Root of Addiction”I want to walk you through each of the existing theories related to addiction. Currently, there are four main...

You don't want to end up in an alcohol treatment center. They have good intentions – the orderlies are all polite and charming – but really, it's little better than a prison. You get to see them as wardens or orderlies in a loony bin. They watch your every move, and check on you when they think you are going wrong. Not very pleasant, right? But you'd bet it's a lot better than waking up in the gutters after a night's spell of drunken stupor.

Getting to talk about...
