The obligation to the sovereign lasts only if the ruler is able to protect his nation. Hobbes naturally discourages civil disobedience. But hence the ruler loses his power, the subjects do not need him and may transfer their obedience to a new ruler.

From this thesis follow a number of revolutionary propositions:

1)    The natural law is a binding law not because it’s just or right, but because it’s dependent upon sanction. With Hobbes The...

It can easily be forgotten that a family is supposed to work together and provide support to all of its members. It is with that support and caring atmosphere that can help the children to grow up healthy and prepared for life. A family whose bonds are weak, however, will lack in support and the children can grow up with an unhealthy idea of how to make friends, of how to be confident in their selves and be relatively unprepared for the life they will have to live on their own. Children...

Life is not the critical problem to get puzzled and to complain about others. We feel without shouting, showing the power or red eyes, it is impossible to control people, they may be family members or employees.   We always keep our anger, hatred, jealousy reserve for some persons, activities and moments.

Within these vices, we get tensed and make other tensed in our life. Disturbed person with disturbed mind disturbs the peace of mind of entire...

Putting yourself in the ideal state for learning is the big issue. This is sometimes hampered by having emotional baggage left behind from our schooldays.

Some school systems work with a small range of learning styles. If this did not suit you at the time you might be left with some emotional baggage from then. Consider at the age of six being embarrassed in front of teachers and the class about reading. The emotional baggage may show up in later years as a fear of giving...

Progress is measured by the quality of life we lead but civilized society is measured by the QUALITY OF CHARACTER of its people.

Character being the essentiality of one’s life still we fail to understand its importance. Why? The quandary we face is not that our morals are not clearly defined but that we succumb to weakness “weakness of circumstances”. To me the root cause is indifference. This attitude proclaims loudly, “As long as it doesn’t...

When I cometo know that someone likes me, I feel elated and proud.

I do not know why someone likes me?

I ponder over it for a minute.

One may like another one because of physical charm or intelligence or something unique in one’s contribution to the society.

But I am neither charming physically, nor very intelligent and not even done something great

Then why someone should like me?

I felt strange.

To quote; Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Nothing to fear but fear itself."

Who isn’t familiar with the term fear.

To quote; wikipedia

"Fear is an emotional response to tangible and realistic dangers. Fear should be distinguished from anxiety, an emotion that often arises out of proportion to the actual threat or danger involved, and can be subjectively experienced without any specific attention to the threatening object"

What is fear?...

Does subliminal perception really occur? Can anyone be able to observe something involuntarily without being conscious about it? These questions were raised to challenge the scientific validity of such claims. Experiments were conducted to prove that subliminal perception was indeed a fact.

Messages were flashed briefly and fast to the test subjects by the researchers. The subjects did not report seeing any of these. The subjects were asked whether they 'saw' the material that...
