How do we read books? It may seem that there is nothing special in it. We take a book, open it from the first page and read it till the end of it. That is the way most of us do and actually it is an inefficient way to read books. It will result in relatively poor reading speed and low comprehension.

Have you ever watched professional athletes train or compete? No matter if it is basketball, tennis player or weight-lifting, athletes always perform some warm up exercises...

Busy work can be regarded as any task or assignment we engaged in that consumes our time but in the end shows little for our effort. The net result is a decrease in our personal or business productivity. Now if procrastination is your thing, great, but if you have goals and objectives you're serious about listen up.

Your first priority when you set goals is to insure your efforts are efficient and effective. Becoming engaged in time consuming meaningless tasks that don't...

Some gurus teach that you should feel inspired before you take action.  Or you should feel motivated or enthusiastic first.  In fact, there's a system out there that teaches you to feel good before you continue working.  Whenever you feel less enthusiastic, it teaches you techniques to bring your enthusiasm back up.  And once that's done, you get back to working.

I've personally tried using the system where you do techniques to bring your enthusiasm up...

Working long hours can be important to get more done.  But when you do it long-term, it can decrease your productivity.  And in the long-term, you end up doing less than if you stuck with shorter hours.

For instance, in 1926, Henry Ford was the one who popularized the 40-hour workweek.  His experiments had shown that decreasing the workday from 10 hours to 8 hours and the workweek from 6 days to 5 days increased total worker output.

You can do an...

Procrastination is an annoying habit that many people pick up, and it can be difficult to cure, especially if you keep putting off coming up with how to do it! It doesn't have to be that way, though, because procrastination can be cured like all other bad habits.

Humans are built upon habits. We form them all the time, from brushing our teeth every morning to flirting with the cutie at the news stand outside of work. We don't realize it, but the more we reinforce these...

It's truly the worst thing that you can do for yourself. Procrastination will prevent you from advancing in your career, schooling, with relationships, everything. It's a vicious cycle that needs to be broken in order for you to live the life you want, and it's not as hard as you might think.

Granted, if you put off reading this article, you're just letting the problem get worse. I'm assuming that you're going to read on, though, because you want to break free from it.

All of us have asked the question at one point or another, "Where did the time go?" Frequently we find ourselves asking this question when we are doing something enjoyable, even more frequently we ask this question when we are scrambling to meet a looming deadline for some project. Time management is a slippery topic to discuss, because there are so many ways from which you can approach it. My purpose in writing about it is to share with you one simple thought; when you have...

Oh how we love our technological gadgetry!  It seems like every minute a new product is released that promises us help in getting organized, getting rid of clutter and reducing paperwork.  But I wonder, just how often do these electronic marvels really help us?

Some points to keep in mind about technology:

·        Just because it’s cool & computerized does not necessarily mean it will save you...

For any business person, the concept of time management is an important one. The ability to capitalize on the time you have is proportionate to your success and productivity. While there are only 24 hours in a day, you cannot alter time but rather how you use that time. Here are some tips for your consideration.

1. Keep an Activities Log

Identify where your time goes by keeping a log of your activities each day. Be honest with this and you will have a snapshot of...
