To organize life and manage time we have to aim to manage self. How we spend time that produces results (or lack of) is about choices, habits, and actions. Here are ten tips to get the most of your day and the results you want.

Make Deliberate Choices
Intentionally choose how to use time. Time can be used pouring out your strengths, passions, skills, and values, and not be wasted. Our choices can make it such so choose wisely.

1- Know Your Priorities-For least...

Developing effective time management strategies is critical to anyone who wants to get the most out of their efforts to increase productivity. Generally speaking that would pretty much be everybody! Who out there does not feel the time crunch every day presents to us as our 'to do' list continues to grow without the benefit of additional time to manage it? It seems obvious that since time can not be 'fabricated out of thin air' we must therefore learn to better manage what we already...

"Your diary is like a parachute; it only works when it is open.”

Your diary is where the daily magic happens. It’s where you plan your time, develop your goals and decide on the direction of your day, your week and your personal life. In fact, the quiet time you spend with your diary (and a coffee) every morning is some of the most important planning time you have. So – how much quality time ARE you investing using your diary each day?

Think...

Time management is essentially the understanding that time is limited and its use needs to be planned and prioritized in order to use it fully and optimally. Time is important to everyone, be it a manger of a multinational corporation, a college student or a homemaker with three school going children. And so everyone can benefit from time management.

Here is your guide to time management:

  • Maintaining a time log for about 3-5 days with details such as time,...

Many people would love to own their own home-based business. They want to work their own hours and choose whom they work with at what times. The reality is that not many of these people take the time to make sure they have the right tools to set up a successful home-based business. They aren't sure exactly what to do or how to plan their time accordingly. They think it will be far easier than it will be and don't think about the groundwork.

The first problem facing most new...

Are you the person that can never get anything done? Do you feel like your work day is always moving faster than you can? Or are you the eternal procrastinator? Whatever the reason, there's never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done. But, here's the good thing. There's tons of things you can do to improve your efficiency and gain back some of that lost time. Let's take a look at eight solid things you can do today to improve your work and time efficiency.

Between kids, work, traffic, deadlines, love, schedules and everything else that goes on in life, it can sometimes be hard to see through all of the commotion and take some time for yourself. It is so important for folks to calm down and take a breather in order to take a better assessment of the life that is going on around them. Stress and anxiety can be greatly reduced by taking yourself out of a situation, taking a look around, and being able to truly appreciate what you value in...

One thing that both the rich and the poor have in equal supply is time. We all have 24 hours a day but some of us make better use of the time we have than others. I like the phrase that states, "Time is money."

Have you ever stop to think why business owners are able make money . This is because they buy your time. They realize that they can only work 8 hours a day and hence to gain leverage they employ you. If you were to employ 10 people to work for you with each one...

Procrastination is an annoying habit that many people pick up, and it can be difficult to cure, especially if you keep putting off coming up with how to do it! It doesn't have to be that way, though, because procrastination can be cured like all other bad habits.

Humans are built upon habits. We form them all the time, from brushing our teeth every morning to flirting with the cutie at the news stand outside of work. We don't realize it, but the more we reinforce these...

I have read a small number of books on overcoming procrastination - some have been very useful, and others not so. My favourite book so far has beenProcrastination Why You Do It, What To Do About Itby Jane B.Burka and Lenora M. Yuen.

This book is split into 2 parts:Understanding ProcrastinationandOvercoming Procrastination.

The first part of this book was a revelation for me, especially when considering that I have never taken the time to sit...
