Our emotions will make us win or lose with our 2007 new years resolutions.

It is our emotions that are behind every decision, every act of laziness or effort that we do.

So how do you feel about your 2007 resolutions? How do you feel about maintaining them over the long haul? Are you scared or anxious? Are you strongly motivated to win? Are you already feeling guilty about breaking your resolutions even before January's end, with over 11 months yet to go?

Positive Mental Attitude

-Gratitude

Gratitude is the secret to achieving success.  We have to appreciate the things we have in our lives.  If you are working but hate your job, you should take time to be thankful for having the strength to get up and go to work.  Be thankful for being able to see, hear, taste, touch, and smell.  If you are not working or temporarily unemployed, be thankful and show gratitude for being able to read and write so that you...

It‘s been noted that most of the richest people in the world come from a humble and poor backgrounds. It’s due to these hardships, that their minds are triggered into inventing ways out of their predicaments or situations. Problems act as catalyzed to activate inventions, let’s therefore not be afraid of life’s difficulties. Many have failed because when they were faced with life’s hitches they ran instead of navigating out of the situations.

Is your home in a state of perpetual chaos on account of those overwhelming sticky notes that you paste all around? If yes, then you are way behind the time. It is difficult organize a chaotic life with paper stickies littered everywhere-on your desk, TV, refrigerator, and god knows where. What you overlook is that your very own pc can offer you a solution to bring you back the much needed respite.

Thanks to the novel concept of online sticky notes, you can now manage,...

I have a blue convertible Beatle photo on my desk. On it, I edited my own photo and carefully placed it in the driver seat. I had shown it to John and he was amazed that it looks real as if I'm driving it. As such, when I'm in office, I can see the picture and see myself driving the Beatle.

Thus, visualization is a very important step in goal setting.

On Saturday, after Novena, we went to Serangoon for lunch. While driving out, we saw a private property open house. As such,...

Facilitative leadership is a process where goal achievement is realized through effective relationship building.

The Leader’s Role

The success of facilitative leadership is in direct proportion to the effectiveness of the leader. Your relationship with your supervisor or manager is the most important determinant of employee productivity. Like most employees, you want your supervisor to do the following: give clear expectations, value your special skills and...

Success is not achieved by accident or luck.  It is the end result of hard-work and dedication. Even so-called overnight success stories usually happen because someone spent years educating themselves and building relationships so they could be "in the right place at the right time".

It does not matter who you are, where you are from or how much education you have. If you start making daily progress towards your goals, and never give up, even in the face of...

Here's a fact: "Getting Organized is one of the TOP New Years Resolutions every year" - PRWeb Press Release, 2005.

Try to think of something that might be on YOUR New Years Resolutions that does not in some way require being better organized.

It's impossible isn't it? I know!

And yet most people never really investigate how to organize things.

When you're more organized you generally have less stress.

When you're more...

Experts, including many leading psychologists, agree that what separates life's winners from its losers are certain patterns of thinking and behavior. Losers tend to perceive the path to success as a straight, unbroken line from begining to end. As a result, these people are unable or unwilling to cope with setbacks along the way. If their progress is slowed or halted for any reason, they often become frustrated and give up. For these people, setbacks are failures that can not be...

In my experience the absolute value that you gain from mentors is determined by the outcome of the choices you make within yourself and within your development and lifestyle (and professional teaching if relevant).

People who don't appreciate mentoring have said to me that the concept is like ‘not reinventing the wheel' because they just see it as having the same information shared again and again. But I prefer to see the value of mentors as being of the same...
