Among qualities that are admired in a leader, trustworthiness is ranked highly. There are many leadership games to test trustworthiness. One example is titled ‘Blindfold’. A group of business associates is divided into two equal subgroups. One subgroup is asked to blindfold themselves; it is then explained that their colleagues in the other group will be taking them by the hand and leading them to two objects without communicating to them. The blindfolded group will...

"The majority of people are ready to throw their aims and purposes overboard and give up at the first signs of opposition or misfortune. A few carry on despite all opposition until they attain their goal. Weak desires produce weak results." Napoleon Hill Author: Think and Grow Rich
At some time or another, all of us will have our resolve tested to keep going or quit. The moment of reckoning comes when your persistence and commitment to the cause...

Let us say that you are on your yacht somewhere in the middle of the sea. What would happen if the navigation system breaks down and you loose your track in the sea? How do you reach your destination? Do you know your port of call? Most probably youll face tremendous difficulties in reaching the shore, after spending days in wandering through the sea. Goal is just like your port of call, when you announce your homecoming that youve reached the destination.
A goal is also like...

It is January 1, 2008! The beginning of the new year means a new beginning and new promise. I’d like to take this opportunity to discuss goals. On a yearly basis, you should evaluate your long-term and short-term goals. Determine your progress on each goal and then craft a plan to either achieve that goal in the coming year or make further progress toward achieving that goal.

I'm sure most of us are concerned with the quality of our life after retirement, and we find that the approach of almost all people to prevent being broke at 65 or 70 follows a common pattern - go to college (or at least save enough money to go to college), find a high-paying job, set aside a part of their salary and put them in a bank or invest them in the hope that they will grow considerably in the future. Unfortunately, this does not work for everybody all the time. While...

The BBC recently commissioned a survey among 20,000 people asking 'What would you like to do before you die?' The answers were noted and a list of the most common answers was compiled and entitled '50 things to do before you die.' There were some very interesting answers. In at number 50 was 'to go Polar Bear watching', the animal theme continued to be popular with 'to see tigers in the wild' at number 45 and interestingly, 'to drive a husky sledge' reaching number 38. The...

In the preceding part of this article ‘Dare to Dream’, you are advised not to keep you dreams inside your head, but to pour them out into written facts as your first step of a long journey towards success. Wise men say that some people dream for success but just remain dreaming all the time, while some others wake up form their dream and immediately set off to work hard to get what they dream of. It is for sure that dreaming without doing will only make you a...

We all have the ability to make decisions that will determine the ultimate outcome and the achievement of our WHY in life! There is a very thin line between being a Winner or being a Loser. The Olympic Games are a great example of this statement. You could win a Gold Medal by beating your competitor by the tiniest one thousandth of a second! When you compare life to the Olympics, it is the same. You need to always maintain a “Winner’s Mindset” in order to attain your...

Ah, yes. New Year’s Resolutions. It’s a tradition that invokes everything from delight to resignation, has a success rate akin to winning the lottery and has the power to launch feelings of guilt, failure, and dark humor in a flash. And yet every year, millions of people are drawn to the ritualistic hope of achieving some magical outcome as if, perhaps, FINALLY, we will triumph over a stubborn habit or fear that has resisted (clobbered, thrashed, walloped?) our most sincere...
