As a Hypnotherapist I am often asked by my clients about the mind and the mechanics of Hypnosis. Perhaps the most common question is "how come I can't do it by myself?
The truth is that you can do a good amount of work and bring about much positive change with self-hypnosis.
Many of my clients who listen to my self-hypnosis programs report about the positive changes that they experience in their lives. Be it weight loss, body image or overcoming fears, you can...

You have finally made the decision that it is time to make some changes in your life. You know that the only way things are going to get better for you financially, spiritually and physically is if you sit up and take action. You know you have to put forth the effort in order to reap the rewards. So how exactly are you going to implement these changes? You are going to have a "plan of action". A plan of action is crucial to your success. Without a plan it is merely...

In 1967, Thomas H. Holmes and Richard H. Rahe, from the University of Washington, did a study on the connection between significant life events and illness. As part of that study, they compiled a chart of the major causes of stress. That chart, which contained 43 causes of stress in 1967, was updated to 55 causes in 2006. Apparently, society is finding more causes to feel stressed.
If you knew the leading causes of stress in your life, would you take action to eradicate them?...

I used to have an accent. I didn't mind the accent itself, what bothered me was constantly being judged by strangers. If you have an accent too, I'm sure you've noticed that you are being treated differently than your friends who are native English speakers. Anybody who judges people with accents probably doesn't even mean to. It's mainly a subconscious thing and, of course, labeling people with accents as unsophisticated isn't limited to the United States; it happens in every part of...

Ghosts are different things depending on who you ask. While 32% of Americans believe in ghosts, according to a 2005 Gallup poll, there is a divergence of opinion as to what constitutes a ghost. Parapsychologists are in favor of the term, apparition, because it's purportedly more precise. An apparition is considered immaterial, but it can seem real and tangible. There are a variety of entities that qualify for the catch-all term, ghost, and here they are, in no particular order.

The thought manifests as word; The word manifests as deed; The deed develops into habit; And habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care,And let it spring from loveBorn out of concern for all beings. The Buddha A cocaine addict, a working person raising a family, a seeker practicing meditation and service, and a highly conscious sage all have the same motivation: the core drive. We all want avoidance of suffering and permanent Love, peace, and...

A panic attack is best defined as the sudden onset of intense anxiety that may or may not be accompanied by physiological side effects of increasing intensity. They not be triggered in any obvious way, and can affect people of any age or race. For most, they can be rather frightening. This is because the physiological responses created by a panic attack can be quite intense, and many people could mistake them for other serious problems, like strokes or heart attacks. If you or someone...

It's coming to the end of 2006 and the new year is coming. During the new year, many people will set their goals such as faster job promotion, a salary increase, spend more time with your family etc. While it's good to set your goals for the new year, most people never actually achieve their goals. Why?
The simple explanation for that is 2 fold. One, most people do not set clear goals and have a very vague idea of what their goals is. The second reason is most people do not...
