I have spent most of the last twenty years researching, studying, writing and speaking about Time Management and Personal Productivity. I have learned a whole lot and my full-time mission now is to share that knowledge through my writings, seminars, consulting and keynotes with people who want to get more done in less time in their business and personal lives.

One important lesson I learned is that there are three simple, yet powerful Time Management Secrets. Knowing these...

Till now, we have been harping about how valuable time is and how time lost is time lost forever and so on. But now we come to a strange concept and that is ‘Time Killers’. The very word sound like sacrilege doesn’t it? How can one talk about killing such a valuable resource. But that’s the way the story goes. There are a lot of time killers in this world and what you have to do is that you have to identify these time killers, look out for them and stay wary of...

Time management is a most common subject on which plenty of books have been written about. Yet, it is one main aspect that eludes a great many of us. Many people struggle to keep time and maintain balance amongst their personal, business and social needs and responsibilities. This imbalance has been one of the primary factor for causing stress, tension and anxiety and leading to severe health problems..

At the heart of any effective time management is the need for focusing on...

Why Manage Your Time?

Why manage your time?  I could tell you that you only have so much of it and it shouldn't be wasted, but I won't.  There's a much more important reason: it will increase your productivity by making more time available to do more work.  Increasing your productivity will lead to adding more value to your organization, and that will make you more successful.

How Do You Spend Your Time?

Most of us don't really know how we spend our time...

Time management is simple - you have to decide what to do and then do it. The following tips will help you decide what to do, then use the techniques to actually get things done. Using tips and techniques together throughout the day is the best way to manage your time.

Deciding What to Do…

1. What Matters Most - You need to consider what your priorities are, for both short and long term goals. Invest the most time in the things that matter to you.

2. Your Role -...

Henry David Thoreau said, “It is not enough to be busy. The question is what are you busy about.” Time management is about taking the finite amount of time we are given, and using it in the most productive way possible. We all have the same 24 hours in a day to accomplish our goals. Our life is a created out of what we choose to focus that time on, and what we give priority to.

Those who master the concept of time management find they can accomplish more than they ever...

Someone asked the Dali Lama how he reduced stress in his life.  One would think the answer would be esoteric, or so impossibly spiritual that regular folks wouldn’t be able to do it.  His answer (and I’m paraphrasing) is he leaves early for appointments so he doesn’t need to rush.

While it is true he doesn’t have to worry about a lot of things – like what to wear  – the man has a busy schedule.  How could leaving early for...

Have you noticed how so much of the feedback we get about ourselves in life is negative?

Think back to school progress reports.  Now, reflect on your job performance evaluations. How often did these assessments focus on what you were doing well, as opposed to where you needed to improve? If your experience is typical, feedback about your need for improvement far outweighed the feedback about what you did well.

This focus on deficits and where you fall short is almost a...

Think about 2 things you know you should be doing, that you are just not doing at present, and if you did these you would feel more successful, more balanced and more fulfilled.

These things may include:
- Exercising - Saving
- Studying - Spending Time with loved ones
- More prospecting whilst things are great - Meditation
- Going on that long deserved holiday - Renovations or fixing that leaking tap
- Updating your will - Completing that report

Deluding ourselves results in procrastination. Procrastinators deny reality and refuse to accept responsibility in their lives. In order to conquer procrastination, we should put an end to playing games with our own selves. It is not possible to overcome procrastination without accepting that no one but you are responsible for everything happening in your life. This may require you to be more honest than most people can be but no other way is possible for you to enrich your life.
