Deluding ourselves results in procrastination. Procrastinators deny reality and refuse to accept responsibility in their lives. In order to conquer procrastination, we should put an end to playing games with our own selves. It is not possible to overcome procrastination without accepting that no one but you are responsible for everything happening in your life. This may require you to be more honest than most people can be but no other way is possible for you to enrich your life.

Some people love them, some people hate them, but there’s no arguing that to do lists are a necessary part of our fast driven, breakneck speed, way too hurried up lives.  We all have so many things to do every day, and yet we waste so much time going in circles, spinning our wheels and trying to remember important stuff we KNOW we have forgotten to do.  A to do list seems to be the answer and yet many folks just find them aggravating and discouraging, rather than...

As a leading time management expert, I’m often asked what are the top mistakes I see people make, so they can get an idea of where to start and how much these issues impact their own lives. Readers, clients and editors alike are often astounded by how quickly they can regain control and, too, just how far-reaching and damaging the effects of poor time and organizational management skills are. Companies lose billions in inflated overhead and lost sales annually, not to mention the...

With the world and technology often moving faster than we do it can be challenging to keep on top of everything everyday.  As a busy working Mum myself I thought it might help others to explore some of the successes and failures I have had in trying to find the perfect balance, the perfect day, the perfect blend of what works for me.

After more than 10 years in the corporate world I thought of myself as having two professional careers, one in real estate and one in...

Do you know that there are time thieves everywhere and are trying to steal away of your time? It is sad to know that not many people take any action on these time thieves and some even not aware of it. As Thomas Edison said “Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the only thing he can’t afford to lose”. Time is non-renewable resource. There is no point of keep saving time but at the same time someone are stealing away your time. Therefore, your...

An employment office was checking on an applicant’s list of references.  “How long did this man work for you?” a former boss was asked.  “About five hours,” was the swift retort.  “Well!  He reported to us that he’s been with your company for a long time!” exclaimed the surprised caller.  “Oh, yeah,” replied the ex-employer, “he’s been here all right, for two years.”

Indeed,...

What makes us work to do something for our selves that make us successful? Good habits of our mind do not only give intelligence but also brain power. To use our intelligence in a right manner that is also useful to our own lives. It will result effective actions towards success and make our time meaningful.

Good mind programming is a well organize way of life. Unconscious programs that start conscious effort, but can have a result of effortless and effective action. Habits should...

Time management is basically about being focused. The Pareto Principle also known as the '80:20 Rule' states that 80% of efforts that are not time managed or unfocused generates only 20% of the desired output. However,  80% of the desired output can be generated using only 20% of a well time managed effort. Although  the ratio '80:20' is only arbitrary, it is used to put emphasis on how much is lost or how much can be gained with time management.

When the crisp air of autumn begins to chill the mornings and evenings, I start to pull out my warm clothes and look forward to winter. By October, I am tired of my summer clothes and am ready for the other half of my wardrobe.

October is the perfect month to clear out your closet. As you put away your summer clothes (by moving them to the back of your closet, boxing them up, or putting them in another closet), take a few minutes to really look at each piece and evaluate...

I remember when computers were becoming really popular and we all thought they would take care of our paper work pile ups. A man working next to me said he thought they would create more paperwork nightmares. From my observations this has become true.

I have 9 tips on how to declutter paper in our homes and offices:

1. Create a filing system that works for you. I use Freedom Filer that is based on placing everything in color coded categories and is great for organizing files...
