A young man, who had suffered with trauma following a road traffic accident came for treatment. One of the unusual experiences that his wife described related to his behaviour in sleep. She had noticed that if she was to touch him, even inadvertently when he was sleeping, he would lash out with anger. On waking up he would not remember what happened during sleep. When the relevant issues were addressed, his wife reported a noticeable change in his behaviour.

Another young man was...

Stress was created to help the human body get through life's turbulence. When danger is sensed, the body's natural "fight or flight" response kicks in, as a way to prepare itself for battle. The adrenal glands kick into action, flooding the bloodstream with high doses of adrenaline to give the body energy.

Heart rate quickens and blood flow increases, giving the body's major organs and muscles more oxygen. Endorphins are released to work as natural painkillers....

If you're like me, you find it hard to communicate in stressful moments. Stress management techniques don't always do the trick. In response to stress, you either become aggressive towards other people to release...

Every feel like punching something (a wall, pillow, etc.) when under stress?  Just the thought of physical release of the stress energy building up inside sounds great.  Well, instead of punching something out, how about using a stress ball to relieve all that tension. This simple ball that usually measures 3 inches in diameter works wonders to help you reduce stress. All you have to do to benefit from a stress ball is hold it in your hand and squeeze.

Squeezing a stress...

It's no big secret that I'm very much a "power of positive thinking" kind of guy. But beyond that, I'm a believer in a life philosophy that is commonly known as "The Law of Attraction."

The Law of Attraction has become a buzzword in business and personal development over the last few years, and there many different interpretations of this principle, ranging from the very sensible, to the more radical, "out there" ideas of some new age...

Stress is a part of life. All of us have to deal with different kinds of stress on a daily basis. Problems occur, however, when stress is chronic and a person is unable to obtain relief. When this happens, stress can affect us mentally and emotionally.

If stress is too overwhelming for too long, a person can feel that they are going under. They may even wonder if they are going crazy. To help you evaluate where you stand with stress, this article will go over the types and...

Every time you get injured in Super Mario World 2 baby Mario flies off your back and into a bubble on the game screen, crying hysterically. You have to pop the bubble he is in to get him back and not...

Isn't pot supposed to make you mellow, chill, laid back? Well, it does. That's right it does. The only problem is that it only does that for some of the people, some of the time. Other times and for other people it does just the opposite!

I'm sure you've been there, I sure have! It's not fun. In fact, it can be down right terrifying.

Marijuana is unpredictable and can cause a wide variety of effects. I know personally that when I smoked pot back in high school and...
